| SWINE FLU - IMPORTANT......
as with all types of flu and respiratory infections,
this can be spread by coughing, sneezing and from hand to hand. If you
think you may be suffering from this illness, it is important that you telephone
us for advice. PLEASE DO NOT attend the surgery premises unless told to do so by
the doctor. It is also important that you do not attempt to go to work,
school or university; and also that you stay away from other people to whom you

MEASLES - Outbreak in Brighton
You will have seen on the News and in the papers that there has been a
significant and massive rise in the number of cases of Measles in
Brighton and Hove... from having no cases at all for many years, there
have been 37 cases or more this year already - mainly affecting children
but one adult has also recently been hospitalised.
If you, or your children(over the age of 1
year), have NOT had two doses of MMR vaccine, then please make an
appointment with your doctor for a dose/course of vaccination.
Measles is extremely contagious - it spreads from person to person
with ease. Symptoms of irritation of the eyes, cough, feeling miserable
and a spreading red rash affecting mainly the neck and the trunk. |

Our Profile
We are a city centre practice currently working from two medical centres
providing care for around 10700 NHS patients. We are under a contract with
Brighton and Hove City Primary Care Trust to provide personal medical services
for our patients. We also have a private Dental Practitioner and a Private
Chiropodist/Podiatrist working from Goodwood Court.
Our medical practitioners are: Dr Nigel Higson, Dr John Williamson, Dr Milind
Jani, Dr Janet Wilson. Dr Katy Preuveneers, Dr Elizabeth Fell. Dr Helen Kimble &
Dr Rachel Duncan
Our nursing practitioners are: Sr Elaine Higson, Sr Debby Whittington; Sr
Alyson Shaw
who are assisted by Health Care Assistants: Mrs Debbie Miller and
Mrs Ann Long

We are open at Goodwood Court from 8am Monday to Friday, closing at 8pm
Monday to Thursday and 630pm on Fridays. The Eaton Centre, our branch surgery,
is open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and until 1pm on Friday
There is limited opening on Saturdays for pre-booked appointments between
10am and Midday
