Mode of cleaning Sinks and Taps – Clean with proprietary sink cleaner Sink surround – clean with detergent and hot water or detergent wipe; Must dry afterwards with paper towelling Toilets handle – clean with detergent wipe Bowl - clean with proprietary toilet cleaner o o Cover – as per seato Outside of toilet bowl – detergent wipeo Changing mat and hand dryers/soap dispenser – clean with detergent wipeVinyl floors – vacuum or dust-mop first if necessary to remove loose matters Move mobile equipment out of room before mopping Mop with detergent (eg washing-up liquid) in HOT water Carpets – vacuum ensuring that vacuum cleaner is picking-up dirt and not "full" Move mobile equipment around to ensure all areas vacuumed/
Under surfaces of couches – clean with detergent wipe Curtain tracks; Pictures; Dado Rail; skirting board; phone booth; light fittings; shelving – Dust with static cloth or detergent wipe Light switches; door handles – clean with detergent wipe Plastic chairs and toys in waiting room – clean with detergent in hot water or detergent wipe Front door brass – use Brasso External steps and entrance area – brush External notice board, intercom and window frames in entrance area – brush using soft brush External windows - detergent solution Internal windows – proprietary cleaner Care of Cleaning Equipment No solutions to be stored in boiler room Mop must be washed daily in clean soap and water and left upright to dry Vacuum cleaner must be emptied regularly and wiped over. Vacuum cleaner should not be used for more than one set of premises Toilet brushes to be replaced monthly or earlier if soiled excessively
